The problem

TechWolf provides companies with the HR tools they need to tackle new and complex challenges, ensuring that their strategies benefit both individuals and the organization as a whole. The software helps employees set and achieve career goals that benefit the company, while providing HR managers with the tools they need to make data-driven decisions that effectively contribute to an organization's strategy.

Techwolf is a company with young employees where acoustics are very important. Here, they know that working in a peaceful environment has a positive effect on people's productivity. That is why they asked COUST to tackle the two meeting rooms. But the cafeteria was also a major problem. This space is not only used for pleasant lunches. It also serves as an informal meeting place for colleagues and is used for internal presentations for the entire company. So it was high time to tackle the poor acoustics!

Our solution

Both meeting rooms were treated with a huge COUSTwall—printed with the Techwolf logo—to reduce the reverberation time from 1.2 seconds to a pleasant 0.8 seconds, which is the ideal reverberation value for a meeting room where face-to-face meetings are the norm.

For the kitchen, 17 suspended COUSTceilings were hung from steel wires. These acoustic ceilings were made in advance in the COUST workshop and reduced the initial reverberation value from 2.1 s to 1.2 s and 1 s for the presentation area.

Result

The result is astonishing. The acoustics in the meeting rooms are now optimal for meetings with a number of colleagues. Because the dining area is so large and a higher resonance value is therefore acceptable, the new reverberation values of 1 s and 1.2 s are extremely pleasant. Techwolf employees are very satisfied with this remarkable improvement and no longer need to avoid the kitchen.
