The problem

The problem

A few years ago, we were first contacted by Jan Vandenhende of Buroplus office furniture (formerly Semaburo). He was looking for a suitable acoustic solution for a client's dining room. And that client was no small one: Sadaci NV. This chemical company, located in the North Sea Port of Ghent, is a European leader in the production of the important raw material molybdenum. With 150 employees, this is not a small company with a small refectory. And it was precisely in this dining hall that they were struggling with an annoying acoustic problem.

The client wanted us to cover a long wall completely with custom acoustic wallcovering: we placed a COUSTwall of up to 9 meters long and 172 cm high with a print. The search for a beautiful print that can still be printed sharply at these dimensions is not a piece of cake.

However, we guided the client through this as best we could, ensuring that both the acoustics and atmosphere in this room were raised to a higher level. Needless to say, the client was very satisfied with this. This project marked the start of a fruitful collaboration between COUST Acoustics and Buroplus that continues to this day!
