The problem
At restaurant de Bosmolen, gastronomy and attention to detail are the focus. Quality and creativity are very important pillars in this beautiful and busy establishment. Moreover, owners Michel Scheers and his charming wife extend the perfection of the dishes to the interior design of the premises. And so an optimization of the acoustics could absolutely not be missing here.
Our solution
During the reverberation measurement, it was decided to reduce the measured reverberation time of 0.9 seconds to 0.7 seconds. The customer wanted a creative, yet qualitative solution from us for this. In consultation with the customer, we decided to completely cover an empty wall with our customized wall covering (COUSTwall). We finished this with a black and white print in high-quality sublimation printing. The client chose an important family photo that refers to the origin of the building and the name of the business. Since this was an archive photo, we kept a close eye on the resolution and quality of the image. Thus, we ensured that the best possible version was placed in the restaurant.
Result
And the result was a real eye-catcher in the interior, which blends very stylishly with the rest of the environment. The black and white image and the black profiles of the frame fit perfectly with the rest of the interior. The optimal acoustics were added just like that!
