The problem
This house is located in a residential neighborhood in Wevelgem. Although the reverberation measurement only indicated a value of 0.8 seconds - which is a pleasant reverberation on average - the residents complained of excess decibels when the whole family was in the same room. Moreover, they were also bothered in the stairwell, where the sounds went in all directions and were very disturbing.
Our solution
For this family, we tackled the entire first floor and stairwell. Since we were dealing here with very noise-sensitive people, a reverberation value of 0.6 seconds was proposed for the dining room and living room. This result was achieved with the installation of 3 COUSTpanels (acoustic wall panel) and 1 COUSTceiling with recessed spotlights. A total of 8.5 m2 of absorption was added.
In the hall, the reverberation was 0.95 seconds. Thanks to the COUSTwall (acoustic wall) in the same color of the wall, we reduced it to pleasant resonance value of 0.8 seconds.
Result
Peace has returned to this house thanks to COUST's acoustic solutions. Moreover, COUSTpanels are also super decorative.
